Quirky Mother's Day Cards

I trust everyone had a great Easter break? I certainly did. We headed up to a friend's Citrus Orchid which was marvelous. I'm in the process of gathering all my photos for my post from that very trip, so be sure to check back in.

But for now, it looks like Mother's Day has stumbled upon us again.

I've been very interested in Greeting Cards lately and found a very clever collection by Melbourne based, Able & Game. They feature some quirky characters some of which I'm sure I've met in real life. Some very funny stuff here.

I've also come across some cool one-of-a-kind collage greeting cards by Percival Road Designs. The designer uses vintage images found at flea markets to create her unique retro inspired cards.

The next card range is by TMOD. They've come up with a collection of scratchie cards that feature old world mechanical illustrations that reveal an image underneath. Clever!

The last collection is by write to me. These cards are hand printed onto Kraft postcards and gift tags. The images used are nostalgic and sweet. I want them all!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

The Mill Markets

For those of you that are vintage obsessed like myself, you're going to love The Mill Markets. There are 5 locations across Victoria but the one featured here is the Geelong location. (Please excuse the quality of some of the pics. They were taken on my iphone).

The place is massive! The bottom floor holds antique and collectible furniture while upstairs appears to be a gigantic walk-in-wardrobe full of vintage clothing.

I was intrigued with the things that have found their way to the markets, in particular the old dentist chair, a bit eerie if you ask me!

My favourite pieces of furniture would have to be the old librarian filling system and the teacher's pigeon hole. I can see them both living happily in my studio.

And what about 'The Good Husband Guide'? Full of tips for domestic bliss. Some things should never age.
