Kingfisher Farm

As promised here is a little snippet of the Citrus Orchard where we stayed for Easter located in Narrung, Victoria.

For the last two years I've spent my Easters at the Kingfisher farm about 50 minutes past Swan Hill. It's owned by Lex and Glenda Fisher who are dear family friends.
The Kingfisher Farm grows oranges, lemons, pumpkins, avocados and lots of other fruits and veggies which they sell at farmers markets on the weekends.

Glenda also makes some amazing preserves that are a winner at the markets.
My favourite is her Lemon butter, it's to die for!

The Kingfisher farm is a place where the country girl in me comes out. I go yabbying with the boys, indulge in home-grown fruit and veggies, catch up on my reading, practice my drawing, wear the same comfy clothes every day and never bother with make-up.

The Kingfisher farm is special to me because it's the place that sparked a love for the country in me and I look forward to returning every year.

Thanks Lex and Glenda for sharing your incredible home with us.

Quirky Mother's Day Cards

I trust everyone had a great Easter break? I certainly did. We headed up to a friend's Citrus Orchid which was marvelous. I'm in the process of gathering all my photos for my post from that very trip, so be sure to check back in.

But for now, it looks like Mother's Day has stumbled upon us again.

I've been very interested in Greeting Cards lately and found a very clever collection by Melbourne based, Able & Game. They feature some quirky characters some of which I'm sure I've met in real life. Some very funny stuff here.

I've also come across some cool one-of-a-kind collage greeting cards by Percival Road Designs. The designer uses vintage images found at flea markets to create her unique retro inspired cards.

The next card range is by TMOD. They've come up with a collection of scratchie cards that feature old world mechanical illustrations that reveal an image underneath. Clever!

The last collection is by write to me. These cards are hand printed onto Kraft postcards and gift tags. The images used are nostalgic and sweet. I want them all!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!
