Melbourne Street Art

Some of the most talented Graffiti Artists reside in Melbourne, Australia and I love walking the streets for inspiration.

These pieces are scattered around the streets of Fitzroy and Sydney Rd, Coburg.

In my opinion Graffiti Artists are amongst the most talented artists, unfortunately they don't get enough credit so here I am doing my bit:)

'Street Art' isn't always Graffiti. This is drawn on paper and then stuck to the wall and rudely half torn off!

This dude is so cool. So much imagination has gone into this

This piece is dedicated to Hip Hop

Pity I didn't get to read the text on the side. It appears to have some Arabic influence

The full view

This is on the side of a shop and is part of the signage which more and more shops are now doing

Not sure what this one means but there seems to be some celebrities faces in there

and some scary faces too

This is one we stumbled upon as we parked our car on Sydney Rd, Coburg

Love the intricacy

It jumps right off the wall

My gorgeous husband who takes me exploring around Melbourne on the weekends. Love him!

Classic Black & White

How many of you out there just love to keep things simple like myself? Uncomplicated, uncluttered, clean.

Less is more I say and the best way to keep it simple and not sacrifice on style, is to splash out on some black and white accessories for your home and your wardrobe.

I absolutely love the boldness that these two shades create and let's face it, you can't go wrong with this combination.

Other shades may come and go but these two are here to stay.

I'm in love with this shabby chic french style chalkboard (By Mateacovintretro)

Keeping the time has never looked so good (by CyberMoon)

I love how the contrast of this vintage image creates such a modern, urban look

I may not be able to own a horse but I can surround myself with images of them

I'm a big fan of words, especially positive words. I love these organic lavender bags (By lapomme)

These striking drapes would add a touch of luxury to any house (By nenavon)

As well as Typography, I love letters and this funky coffee mug (By wandersketch)

Kingfisher Farm

As promised here is a little snippet of the Citrus Orchard where we stayed for Easter located in Narrung, Victoria.

For the last two years I've spent my Easters at the Kingfisher farm about 50 minutes past Swan Hill. It's owned by Lex and Glenda Fisher who are dear family friends.
The Kingfisher Farm grows oranges, lemons, pumpkins, avocados and lots of other fruits and veggies which they sell at farmers markets on the weekends.

Glenda also makes some amazing preserves that are a winner at the markets.
My favourite is her Lemon butter, it's to die for!

The Kingfisher farm is a place where the country girl in me comes out. I go yabbying with the boys, indulge in home-grown fruit and veggies, catch up on my reading, practice my drawing, wear the same comfy clothes every day and never bother with make-up.

The Kingfisher farm is special to me because it's the place that sparked a love for the country in me and I look forward to returning every year.

Thanks Lex and Glenda for sharing your incredible home with us.
